Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Education coursework or related study encouraged
• Teaching experience in Elementary School preferred

Responsibilities

• The Substitute Teacher is accountable to the Early Childhood, Lower or Middle School Head.
• Works with the Principal, students and faculty to reflect the Sacred Heart goals.
• Follow curriculum and unit plans provided by Lead Teacher.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, administrators and staff.
• Attend liturgies, prayer services, assemblies, meetings and conferences.
• Utilize unscheduled class time for planning and professional development.
• Fill additional duties as needed (recess, lunch supervision, etc.).
• Maintain communication with administration and parents regarding progress.
• Keep accurate classroom records (lesson plans, assessments, attendance).
