Job summary

LanceSoft, Inc. seeks a Service Activation Engineer (SAC Network Engineer) to support a FAA/FTI telecommunications program. On-site Florida role with hands-on activation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation across WAN/Ethernet/IP networks.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in Telecommunications/Service Activation, strong testing and coordination skills, and the ability to work with vendors and customers while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous Telecommunications / Service Activation experience
• Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and validation of service activations
• 2+ years of WAN Telecommunications network experience
• Hands-on experience with Ethernet and IP
• Experience coordinating Maintenance Request (MR) activities
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Experience with SONET architecture
• Ability to obtain a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Execute and document formal acceptance testing of products and services according to program requirements.
• Support telecommunications equipment installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and service activation.
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate communication circuits.
• Support WAN, Ethernet, and IP network environments.
• Coordinate and execute Maintenance Request (MR) activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, telecommunications providers, field technicians, and customers.
• Identify and resolve implementation and acceptance issues.
• Support service disconnects and network/CPE changes according to established processes.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and project records.
• Complete assigned activities according to project schedules and deadlines.

We are looking for a motivated Service Activation Engineer (SAC Network Engineer) to support a critical FAA/FTI telecommunications and networking program.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with telecommunications service activation, WAN networks, Ethernet/IP, testing & troubleshooting, network vendors, and maintenance activities.

• Execute and document formal acceptance testing of products and services according to program requirements.
• Support telecommunications equipment installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and service activation.
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate communication circuits.
• Support WAN, Ethernet, and IP network environments.
• Coordinate and execute Maintenance Request (MR) activities.

Bachelor’s Degree + 4 years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s Degree/2 years post-secondary education + 8 years of related experience

Previous Telecommunications / Service Activation experience

Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and validation of service activations

2+ years of WAN Telecommunications network experience

Hands-on experience with Ethernet and IP

Experience coordinating Maintenance Request (MR) activities

Experience with network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and RAD

Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, and MPLS

Strong technical writing and documentation skills

Experience executing and documenting formal acceptance testing

Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and project schedules

Experience with SONET architecture

• Ability to obtain a required security clearance
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical procedures
• Strong communication and customer coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Flexibility to support 2nd or 3rd shift rotations when required
