Job description

Position: Junior Operator – Sabine Pass,LA (Cheniere Energy)

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operation and keep records of daily/weekly operation logs.
• Carry out quality checks, chemistry control and basic water analysis in the lab.
• Load and unload consumable chemicals and load outgoing treated water into trucks.
• Monitor filter press operation and coordinate sludge storage and movement.
• Assist plant operators in collecting water samples.
• Assist with plant maintenance as required.
• Report any abnormalities to the plant supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining industrial water‑treatment plants, including Pretreatment, Demineralization, Reverse Osmosis, Ultra‑filtration, Electro‑deionization, Thermal Desalination and Zero‑Liquid Discharge.
• Knowledge of chemical processes involved in Pretreatment, Demineralization and Reverse Osmosis.
• Basic knowledge of water chemistry and ability to perform basic lab analysis.
• Experience maintaining operation logs and working with PLC/HMI‑based plant operation systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot filtration, membrane and electro‑deionization systems.
• Experience maintaining valves, pumps and instruments.
• Safety awareness, including chemical handling and confined‑space entry.
• Valid TWIC Card.
• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, organizational skills and attention to detail.
