Job summary

Clearwater Analytics seeks a Revenue Accounting Manager to lead a team ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual closes. You will partner with Sales Operations, Legal, Billing and FP&A to optimize processes and controls for a growing SaaS business.

The role requires hands-on ASC 606 experience, US GAAP expertise, and the ability to coach accountants while driving automation across the order-to-cash lifecycle.

Qualifications

• CPA or postgraduate degree in Finance.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years managing people.
• Deep hands-on ASC 606 experience in software/subscription businesses.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience supporting external audits and SOX-compliant controls.
• Proficiency with ERP and revenue/billing systems (NetSuite, Salesforce) and advanced Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue accounting, including close activities for revenue, deferred revenue, contract assets, unbilled receivables, ARR and ACV.
• Apply ASC 606 to complex contracts and multi-element arrangements.
• Review revenue memos and accounting positions for non-standard deals.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk to review terms and advise on accounting impact before signature.
• Reconcile revenue, billing, and cash, and ensure accurate GL reporting.
• Support external audit and SOX controls via revenue controls and documentation.
