Job summary

Actionstep is expanding its FP&A function and seeks a Strategic Finance Analyst to help with forecasting, profitability analysis, gross margin insights, and commission calculations. You will partner with Sales, RevOps, and Operations, reporting to the VP of Finance, and contribute to data-driven decision making across a fast-growing SaaS business.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of FP&A experience, strong Excel and SQL skills, and a track record of delivering accurate recurring reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of FP&A or financial analysis experience in a SaaS or similar environment.
• Strong Excel skills with advanced formulas and financial modeling.
• Working knowledge of SQL and curiosity to learn more.
• Ability to present financial data clearly to financial and non-financial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Conduct budget-to-actual variance and profitability analyses.
• Build financial models for scenario and sensitivity analyses, including AI-driven insights.
• Contribute to board and executive reporting with reliable data.
