TalentSource360 has been retained to identify the next-generation Chief Financial Officer for a rapidly growing, East Coast–based SaaS company. This Washington DC–area role supports remote work with regular travel on the east coast, and focuses on M&A, fundraising, and investor relations to scale the business toward a potential liquidity event.

The CFO will partner with the CEO, Board, and investors, owning finance, accounting, and KPI discipline while building scalable processes and KPI

Qualifications

• 15+ years in progressive finance leadership, with 5+ years as CFO or senior exec in SaaS/tech.
• Proven track record in end-to-end M&A, diligence, valuation, and integration.
• Experience raising capital (growth equity, venture, PE, and/or debt) and managing investor relations.
• Experience guiding liquidity events (sale, recapitalization, or IPO).
• Deep SaaS metrics knowledge and KPI framework experience that drives decisions.
• Strong accounting: GAAP, ASC 606, robust financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's M&A strategy from target id to post-close integration.
• Prepare for liquidity events with transaction-ready financials and data rooms.
• Manage relationships with bankers, counsel, auditors, and advisors.
• Evaluate strategic alternatives and present clear CEO/Board recommendations.
• Lead capital strategy; raise equity and debt to fund growth and acquisitions.
• Be primary investor relations contact for current and prospective partners.
• Own board/investor reporting; create equity story and decks.
• Build financial model and investor narrative to support valuation.
• Design SaaS KPI framework including ARR, RRR, CAC, LTV, and Rule of 40.
• Create dashboards tying KPIs to accountability across functions.
• Lead annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Provide insight into unit economics and pricing for profitable growth.
• Oversee all finance and accounting functions including ASC 606.
