Job summary

Pilot Assessments is seeking a direct-entry Captain to command the Saab 2000, leading a high-performance turboprop crew with focus on safety, SOP adherence, and regulatory compliance. You will exercise PIC authority and uphold CRM during all phases of flight.

This role offers full Saab 2000 type training, permanent employment, and a strong commitment to a safety-first operating culture. Applicants should have the specified hours, licenses, and medical status as noted in the requirements.

Qualifications

  • Total time requirement of 3,000 hours.
  • FAA CPL with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings.
  • Medical: Class 1.
  • Part 121 or Part 135 PIC experience required; ability to pass DOT background checks.
  • Ability to pass DOT background checks and random drug screens.
  • Must meet physical requirements for all job duties.
  • Type rating not required (training provided).

Your mission

Lead safe and efficient Saab 2000 operations while upholding the highest standards of airmanship and crew leadership. You’ll champion SOPs, CRM, and regulatory compliance (Parts 121/135 as applicable), ensuring an exceptional and reliable experience on every flight.

  • Exercise PIC authority with sound judgment and decisive leadership.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a strong safety culture and positive crew resource management.
  • Deliver smooth, professional operations from preflight through shutdown.
Minimum requirements
  • Total time: 3000 hours
  • Licenses: FAA CPL with IR and ME
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Experience: Prior Part 121 or Part 135 PIC experience; meets 14 CFR 135.243 PIC requirements
  • Background/Testing: Able to pass full DOT background checks and initial/random drug screens
  • Physical: Physical ability to perform all job duties
  • Type rating: Not required (training provided)
Preferred qualifications
  • ATP preferred
