Job summary

The Woodstock Inn & Resort in Woodstock, Vermont, seeks Rental Technicians to join our ski rental team at Saskadena Six. You will fit boots, tune gear, and help guests select equipment for a great mountain experience.

Full-time seasonal and part-time seasonal positions are available; starting pay is $16 per hour, with weekends and holidays required. Join a welcoming team in a luxury resort setting with on-site ski rentals and guest services.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct equipment fittings to provide guests with properly sized ski gear.
• Perform routine maintenance and tuning of skis and snowboards.
• Assist guests in selecting equipment based on their skill level.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the rental area.
• Collaborate with team to manage rental inventory.

The family-friendly terrain at Saskadena Six Ski Area sets the tone for a classic winter ski day in the mountains, with gentle terrain perfectly suited for beginners. Saskadena Six welcomes both skiers and snowboarders to its downhill slopes and a terrain park. There are 2 lifts servicing 28 trails 30% rated as beginner terrain, 40% as intermediate and 30% as advanced with the longest run spanning a distance of 5,280 feet.Rentals, repairs, lessons and a cozy base lodge are all available on-site.

Job Summary:

As a Rental Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for our guests, ensuring they have the perfect equipment for an unforgettable skiing or riding adventure. From fitting boots to tuning skis, your attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of our ski/ride rental services.

Job Specifications:

• Expected Pay Range:starting $16.00 per hour
  • The pay scale shown is the range that we reasonably expect to pay. Actual compensation offered may be adjusted based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full time seasonal and part-time seasonal positions available
    • Wednesday-Sunday, plus peak and holiday periods
    • 16-40 hours per week
    • weekends and holidays required

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct equipment fittings to provide guests with comfortable and properly sized ski gear.
• Perform routine maintenance and tuning of skis and snowboards.
• Assist guests in selecting the appropriate equipment based on their skill level and preferences.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the ski rental area.
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently manage rental inventory.
• Provide friendly and informative customer service, addressing inquiries and offering assistance.
• Uphold safety standards and guidelines in all rental processes.

Job Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to carry, lift, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms.
• Sound knowledge base of ski/snowboard industry and equipment operation.
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
