Job summary

Woodstock Inn & Resort is seeking Ski & Ride School Instructors to join Saskadena Six Ski Area for the 2026/27 season in Vermont. Instructors will deliver ski or snowboard instruction to groups and individuals and support related duties on site.

Starting pay is $15.00 per hour with a commission program; with commissions, hourly rates can be $20+ depending on qualifications and experience. Full-time and part-time seasonal positions are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Willing to work weekends/holidays.
• PSIA/AASI certification preferred.
• Intermediate skier/rider who enjoys working with children.
• Comfortable being in ski boots for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Team player and able to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Teach and demonstrate skiing/riding to classes of all abilities in a safe environment.
• Demonstrate specific skiing/riding maneuvers, including loading/unloading lifts.
• Provide exceptional guest service while maintaining safety.
• Work collaboratively with staff and independently with groups or individual students.
• Be willing to perform duties occasionally in other departments, such as rentals or lifts.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

The family-friendly terrain at Saskadena Six Ski Area sets the tone for a classic winter ski day in the mountains, with gentle terrain perfectly suited for beginners. Saskadena Six welcomes both skiers and snowboarders to its downhill slopes and a terrain park. There are 2 lifts servicing 28 trailsー30% rated as beginner terrain, 40% as intermediate and 30% as advancedーwith the longest run spanning a distance of 5,280 feet.Rentals, repairs, lessons and a cozy base lodge are all available on-site.

Job Summary

The Ski & Ride School Instructors will be responsible for delivering ski or snowboard instruction to groups and individuals and perform other related functions at Saskadena Six as needed.

Job Specifications

Expected Pay Range:starting $15.00 per hour plus commission program.With the commission included hourly rates vary from $20 and higher.

The pay scale shown is the range that we reasonably expect to pay. Actual compensation offered may be adjusted based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.

Shift & Schedule Availability

Full-time seasonal and part-time seasonal positions available for the winter 2026/2027, starting in December.8:00am – 4:00pm, Wednesday through Sunday, must be available to work weekends and holidays. Minimum of 10 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach and demonstrate skiing/riding to classes of all abilities in a safe environment using a variety of teaching and ski/ride techniques.
• Demonstrate specific skiing/riding maneuvers, including loading and unloading lifts.
• Provide exceptional guest service while maintaining safety as a priority at all times.
• Work collaboratively with fellow staff and independently with groups or individual students.
• Work in a variety of support roles and be willing to perform duties occasionally in other departments, such as rentals or lifts, as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Must be willing to work weekends/holidays.
• PSIA/AASI certification preferred.
• Intermediate skier/rider must enjoy working with children.
• Must be comfortable being in ski boots for extended period of time.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
