Job summary

S3 Architecture LLC, based in Rhinebeck, NY, seeks a junior architect to join a small architecture and residential development firm. Hybrid role reporting to the Principal Architect, you will support all project stages from concept through construction documents and contract administration, working with Upstate Modernist and private clients.

Requirements include an accredited architecture degree, at least 2 years in an architecture firm, ability to travel to Rhinebeck and sites 2x per week,

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in architecture.
• Minimum 2 years of professional architecture firm experience.
• Based in Mid-Hudson Valley with ability to drive to Rhinebeck office 2x per week.
• Assist with all project phases from research and concepts to design and construction details.
• Strong design, communication, and representational skills; capable of independent and collaborative work.
• Fluency in Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD; proficiency in AI image generation, Rhino, Adobe CC, MS Office.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all project stages from design to construction documents.
• Support contract administration and project coordination.
• Collaborate with Principal Architect and Project Team.
• Coordinate with clients, construction managers, subcontractors and vendors.
• Contribute to 3D presentations and technical drawing production.

Architecture and residential development firm based in Rhinebeck, NY seeks junior level Architect for work on new high end modern residences Upstate for the development firm and private clients. Architect will be directly employed by S3 Architecture, and will work in coordination with home building firm Upstate Modernist. Architect will work in a hybrid working environment, directly with the Principal Architect and the Project Team, assisting in all project stages, from design to construction documents and contract administration. Architect should possess strong design, communication and representational skills, and be able to take an active and collaborative role in the operations of the firm. Requirements Include

• Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture.
• 2 years minimum professional architecture firm experience.
• To be based in Mid-Hudson Valley and ability to drive to Rhinebeck office and job sites in the area 2x per week min.
• Ability to assist with all phases of a project; from research and concepts to design and details through to project completion.
• Hard working, motivated and self-sufficiently; ability to work well independently and in a group.
• Focused, articulate, well organized, and detail-oriented.
• Strong design abilities and graphic sensibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled at direct interaction with Clients, Construction Managers, Subcontractors and Vendors.
• Experience in working on fully coordinated drawing sets.
• Complete fluency in Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD; strong proficiency in AI Image generation, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office required.
• Excellence in 3D presentation, production and technical skills.
