Job summary

Emerson is seeking a motivated intern to support analytics, reporting, and automation for the T&M S&OP team during a 12-week internship in Austin, TX. You will build executive dashboards, perform data cleaning and transformation, and automate recurring reporting tasks to improve accuracy.

You will collaborate with S&OP and Demand Planning to deliver insights and governance, learning new tools while contributing to real-world planning decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Strong IT/technical background with data end-to-end experience.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboards, data modeling, DAX fundamentals, Power Query).
• Experience in data manipulation/analysis (Excel, SQL).
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Support the T&M S&OP team with weekly/monthly reporting and ad-hoc analytics.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and executive-level reports (KPIs, trends, exceptions, root causes).
• Perform data manipulation and analysis (cleaning, transforming, validating, and reconciling data from multiple sources).
• Automate repetitive reporting tasks to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort (Power Query, scripts, workflow improvements).
• Help define and document data definitions, report logic, refresh cadence, and dashboard governance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, iterate on dashboard/report design, and ensure outputs meet business needs.
• Ensure deliverables are reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain with clear documentation and handover notes.
