Job summary

Jr. Davis Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead roadway projects in Central Florida.

The candidate will coordinate field staff, manage budgeting and cost control, source suppliers, and negotiate with owners while ensuring safety, quality, and timely project delivery. Typical requirements include 5+ years of highway construction experience and a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering; strong Excel/Word skills and a proven ability to lead

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• MUST have Heavy/Highway experience and project management experience.
• Minimum 5-8 years of project experience in heavy/highway construction.
• Familiar with grading, drainage, paving (asphalt and concrete), bridge construction, retaining walls, and all other highway construction scopes.
• Must have excellent teambuilding skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for safety, quality, and budget for projects of varying size.
• Communicate district and corporate information to the project team and keep OM/GM updated.
• Directs and supervises work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operation priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships.
• Establish/Define/Promote values, expectations, and performance standards for team and individual members in accordance with JDC’s mission, vision, and values.
• Create and execute project work plans that identify resource and budgetary needs.
• Responsible for the overall management of the project to ensure complete solution is delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed.
• Assist the Operations Manager and Project needs.
• Manage costs and program documentation.
• Effectively oversees subcontract management.
• Coach and develop staff, providing feedback, advice, project updates, and encouragement.
• Host project meetings at least once a week with team and managers.
• Monitor Quality Control and work in collaboration with Site Superintendent.
• And other duties as assigned.
