Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services in Houston, TX is seeking a Principal SAP PP Solution Lead to architect the production planning backbone for a landmark S/4HANA transformation spanning Cooper and Altronic. You’ll shape how brands like Cooper-Bessemer, Ajax, and Superior plan, build, and deliver for another century.

You will lead end-to-end PP design, drive target-state configuration, and mentor analysts, collaborating with IT, manufacturing and supply chain to ensure performance, stability, and scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of SAP PP functional experience, including at least one full lifecycle S/4HANA or ECC implementation; brownfield, carve-out, or consolidation preferred.
• Deep PP expertise with knowledge of MM, WM, QM, or demand planning.
• Hands-on MRP, BOM, routing, and capacity planning in manufacturing environments.
• Strong master data governance and data migration for material masters, BOMs, and work centers.
• Experience with SAP ECM, change masters, and change number workflow.
• Comfort with hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery in ERP/supply chain programs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; mentoring SAP analysts.

Responsibilities

• Own production planning solution architecture for S/4HANA carve-out and transformation across SAP PP and related modules.
• Lead end-to-end PP solution design, including production orders, MRP, capacity planning, shop floor control, and repetitive manufacturing.
• Serve as SAP PP SME and trusted advisor to IT, manufacturing, and supply chain leadership.
• Set design authority for PP-enabled processes, ensuring performance, stability, and scale; oversee fit-gap and quality.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops translating configuration decisions into leadership recommendations.
• Manage BOM and routing changes from engineering changes, assessing downstream impacts.
• Represent PP on architecture review board; shape integration patterns and master data governance.
• Guide end-to-end testing strategy (unit, integration, regression, UAT) across critical touchpoints.
• Provide expert-level support through cutover, go-live, and hypercare; mentor analysts.
