Job summary

Westminster Pharmacy Services in Orlando, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to accurately transcribe prescriptions into our pharmacy system. The schedule is 11:30am–8:00pm with rotating weekends, reporting to a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities include entering orders, patient data, allergies, and drug interactions; researching discrepancies; and communicating with customers and team to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• State Pharmacy Technician license and certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Brand vs generic medications knowledge required.
• Drug classes and medication classifications knowledge required.
• Medical terminology understanding required.
• Math and analytical skills required.
• Computer knowledge and skills required.
• Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Enter prescriptions into the pharmacy system with accuracy and speed.
• Enter patient data, allergies and drug interactions into the system.
• Research and resolve prescription/patient data entry discrepancies.
• Resolve discrepancies with customers including illegible prescriptions.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Answer incoming calls professionally and communicate with the team.
