SAIC in the United States is seeking an Engineering Technician with hands-on experience in Remote Weapons Systems (MK 93 and MK 97) to support shipboard integration and modernization efforts. You will aid in mechanical and electrical installation, testing, and documentation on surface ships and other platforms, working with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in RWS hardware, the ability to interpret drawings, and willingness to travel CONUS locations and onboard

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree with 8+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain full secret clearance. Interim secret required to start.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Remote Weapon Systems, MK 93 and MK 97 hardware and associated control components.
• Willingness to travel to CONUS locations and work onboard ships as required.

Responsabilidades

• Support mechanical and electrical integration of Remote Weapon Systems on surface ships and other platforms.
• Interpret and execute drawings, schematics, work packages, and technical directives for system installation and modification.
• Assist in developing shipboard integration solutions including mounting, cable routing, and power/grounding schemes.
• Conduct onboard surveys to assess configurations and determine installation constraints, interfaces, and material requirements.
• Coordinate with shipyards, government representatives, and project teams to schedule installation, checkout, and acceptance activities.
• Document as-found and as-built conditions, updates to drawings and configuration management records.
• Perform mounting, alignment, and fitting checks to shipboard standards.
• Perform cable fabrication, terminations, power distribution, grounding, and insulation testing.
• Troubleshoot faults and propose corrective actions; support software uploads and configuration changes.
• Assist in system bring-up, alignment, testing, and acceptance activities.
