Job summary

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician with a strong background in Remote Weapons Systems (MK 93 and MK 97) for shipboard installation and modernization efforts. You will support planning, integration, and documentation across multiple platforms, coordinating with shipyards and government teams.

The role involves mechanical and electrical assembly, testing, and on-site surveys to assess configurations, install constraints, and material needs. Travel to CONUS locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on experience with Remote Weapon Systems (MK 93, MK 97) on ships.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and work packages for installation/modification.
• Experience coordinating with shipyards, government reps, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• RWS integration & installation on surface ships and platforms.
• Support ship alterations, modernization, and configuration changes.
• Mechanical and electrical mounting, wiring, terminations, testing, and troubleshooting.
