Epsilon Systems Solutions is seeking a full‑time CIWS Technician II in San Diego, CA. The position requires direct technical support aboard U.S. Navy ships.

Summary

Under minimal supervision, the employee provides direct technical support aboard ships of the U.S. Navy weapons systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct, oversee repair activities, train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain weapons systems including MK45 MOD 2, MK45 MOD 4, MK38 MOD 2, MK38 MOD 3, MK110 Gun Mounts, MK46, Small Arms, Night Vision Devices, Crew Served Weapons and Mounts, Magazine Sprinkler Systems (Legacy) and (Fairmont, Consilium, FDAS).
• Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at‑sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• 10+ years of related experience with MK45 MOD 2 or MK45 MOD 4.
• Navy Gunner’s Mate “A” School graduate.
• Navy 5”/54 MK45 MOD 2 “C” School or Navy 5”/54 MK45 MOD 4 “C” School graduate.
• Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting and maintaining associated systems.
• Strong technical comprehension with ability to read and interpret technical manuals, system drawings, and procedural corrective and repair standards.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to provide technical findings orally and/or in written form.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technical applications.

Physical & ADA Requirements

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, handling, feeling with hands and reaching with arms.
• Regular communication (hearing and speaking).
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting of heavy objects.
• Ability to go aboard ships, barges and other naval craft.
• Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways onboard ships.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.
• Industrial, shop environment.
• Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
