Job summary

Loving Family Animal Hospital, located in Aurora, Colorado, is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join the team and support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

The ideal candidate brings credentialed clinical knowledge, strong client communication, and the ability to move between exam room and procedure support in a busy general practice. Full-time schedule offers a 4/10 workweek with Monday–Friday availability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of veterinary technician experience or veterinary assistant experience preferred
• Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in Colorado
• Proficiency in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
• Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
• Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols
• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
• Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
• Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Assist in surgery.
• Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly.
• Identify patient concerns and support case management across the hospital.
• Build strong client relationships through education and attentive service.
