Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a vascular ultrasound technologist to perform and report all required vascular ultrasound evaluations at a technical level as ordered by physicians. Qualifications

• RVT certification or eligible; certification within 12 months.
• CPR certification by American Heart Association.
• Act 34/33/73 and FBI background clearances required.
• HIPAA/privacy policy compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Performs vascular ultrasound testing and related evaluations.
• Assesses patients and provides education on procedures and vascular disease.
• Provides preliminary interpretation and notifies the physician of results.
• Maintains records per guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in staff education and community in-services; attends required meetings.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment; reports malfunctions; performs additional duties as assigned.
