Job summary

Bretz RV & Marine in Boise, ID seeks a Certified RV Technician to diagnose, inspect, repair, or overhaul recreational vehicles, including travel trailers. You may specialize in gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, or chassis/towing systems and in generators and appliances, upholding our honest, integrity-driven service culture.

This full-time role offers $28–$44 per hour, with top earners reaching six figures annually with overtime.

Qualifications

• Prior RV technician experience required.
• RVTI Level 2 Certification required.
• Ability to work Mon-Fri, with overtime on weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose RV problems
• Discuss repairs and service requests with service advisors
• Plan work procedures with the shop foreman
• Monitor repair time and update service advisor
• Adhere to dealership policies on RV care and operation
• Complete documentation for all repairs
• Follow federal, state and local regulations (hazardous waste disposal)

Job description

Our busy dealership is in need of a Certified RV Technician facility to augment our rapidly growing full-service RV dealership and repair facility. In this role, you will diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair, or overhaul recreational vehicles including travel trailers. May specialize in maintaining gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, or chassis/towing systems as well as repairing generators, appliances, and interior components. Our mission is to change how customers experience RV repairs & maintenance. We run an honest shop and operate with integrity.

Compensation

• $28 to 44 per hour flat rate
• Top earners in our company in this role makeover 100,000 annually

Job Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose RV problems
• Discuss repairs and additional service requests with service advisors
• Plan work procedures in cooperation with the shop foreman
• Monitor repair time and update RV service advisor regularly
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on RV care and operation
• Complete story and documentation for all repairs
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
• Ability to learn through audio, visual, and hand-on training
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area

Experience

• Previous RV Tech experience required
• RVTI Level 2 Certificationrequired

About Our Dealership

Bretz RV & Marine opened for business in Missoula, Montana, in 1967. Until then, Frank and Vi Bretz had been operating a service station and renting U-Hauls in central Missoula. Searching for a new camping trailer turned into a new business opportunity. Not only did the Bretz family get a new camper, they decided to get into the business of selling and renting small travel trailers.

Today Bretz RV & Marine is still a family-owned and operated business with five dealerships across Montana and Idaho. We are fortunate to have grown from just over 100 employees to nearly 400 employees in the last five years. We do all we can to offer our teams an excellent place to work and advance in our company.
