Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices is building next‑generation GPU software stacks and seeks a deeply technical Rust compiler generalist who thrives across abstraction layers. You will influence compiler tooling, runtimes, and hardware interfaces while advancing safety, performance, and reliability of production systems.

You will collaborate with architecture, validation, and performance teams to push Rust usage across the GPU stack, including ABI, code generation, and system interfaces.

Qualifications

  • Strong production Rust experience across system software.
  • Experience with low-level or constrained Rust (no_std) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with compiler correctness concepts and GPU software stacks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and implementation of production-quality Rust components for GPU systems.
  • Work across compiler pipelines, including rustc, MIR, MLIR, LLVM IR, and AMDGPU codegen.
  • Develop analyses, transformations, and lowering for GPU execution models and memory spaces.
  • Define interfaces across compiler, runtime, firmware, and hardware boundaries.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to design docs and reviews.
  • Collaborate with architecture, validation, and performance teams.
