You’ll work in a large production Rust codebase alongside researchers and engineers, turning complex algorithms into reliable, scalable software across backend services, databases, frontend apps, and supporting infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Mathematics or related field
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Production-grade, performance-sensitive software in Rust
• Backend services with Axum or similar frameworks
• Asynchronous programming (Tokio)
• Web application development across the stack
• U.S. citizenship required and active SECRET clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production software in a large Rust codebase
• Design and optimize performance-sensitive algorithms and workloads
• Build backend services using Axum and Tokio
• Integrate software with databases, frontend apps, APIs and infrastructure
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers and end users to translate concepts into software
• Help evolve research-driven capabilities into scalable production systems
