Job summary

Parry Labs, LLC is seeking a software engineer to build and test Rust components for distributed mission systems. You’ll receive guidance from senior engineers and contribute to code reviews, testing, and integration work.

You'll report to a software engineering manager with direction from the Chief Engineer. The target start date is November 2026, with a focus on memory-safe design and robust tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent training and practical experience.
• Hands-on programming experience through coursework, internships, personal projects or employment. Prior full-time engineering experience is not required.
• Working knowledge of Rust ownership, borrowing, basic types and error handling, plus Cargo build and test workflows.
• Understanding of basic data structures, functions and software testing. Ability to explain and debug your own code.
• Familiarity with Linux development tools and Git version control.
• Ability to work from defined requirements, ask focused questions and incorporate code-review feedback.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance if required. An active clearance is not required at hire.

• Familiarity with continuous integration, distributed systems or positioning, navigation and timing (PNT).
