Job summary

fab2 is seeking exceptional, hands-on Software Interns to join the Studio/Studio-like workload. Work end-to-end in Rust, WebAssembly, and real-time collaboration tools for chip design software.

You will contribute to a browser-based, multiplayer platform, integrating Schematic capture, layout, and simulation while learning from experienced engineers in a hardware-first startup environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Rust or serious C++/systems experience with curiosity to go deep in Rust.
• Solid systems fundamentals: memory, performance, concurrency.
• A track record of non-trivial software you built from scratch end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own major features from design through shipping across the full stack.
• Build deeply interactive, low-latency editing tools and auto-routing.
• Develop a diffable document model with real-time collaboration.
• Create a GPU canvas rendering millions of polygons in Rust for web and native.
• Develop a real-time simulation experience with MSD-like responsiveness.
