Job summary

Onfleet is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer based remotely in Latin America or Canada. You’ll contribute across feature development, architecture, and system integrations, spanning core platforms, APIs, and webhooks.

The backend is Rust and nodeJS with TypeScript on the frontend, with both greenfield work and ongoing refinement of existing systems. Strong CS fundamentals, English fluency, and 4+ years of software engineering are required, including 3+ years with Rust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with strong fundamentals.
• Production delivery experience shipping features to production.
• English communication in an international team is required.
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1 level).
• 4+ years hands-on software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years using Rust as primary language.
• Quality-focused mindset with CI pipelines and tests.
• Experience with agentic workflows and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve agentic development workflow and tests.
• Maintain and review code quality across team contributions.
• Work on greenfield and legacy code in Rust and TypeScript/Node.js.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production support.
• Refactor for clarity and long-term health of systems.
• Develop APIs, webhooks, and integration surfaces.
• Follow Agile/Scrum cadence with reliable estimates.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, including on-call.
