Job summary

Massive is seeking a Rust Engineer to develop and maintain our low-level feed handlers, the core layer that consumes, captures, and analyzes exchange data feeds. This role focuses on building scalable, efficient systems handling 60M packets/sec and ~5TB/day across datacenters.

The engineer will shape architecture, participate in design decisions, and stay ahead of Rust and networking advancements. A strong, self-driven contributor mindset is essential in our small, elite team.

Responsibilities

• Help architect, design, and implement critical components of our feed handling layer.
• Build hardware and software capable of capturing 60M packets/sec. Analyze captures for dropped packets and merge/dedupe captures from multiple datacenters.
• Collaborate closely with a small team of highly talented individuals to build and continuously improve our technology stack.
• Conduct thorough performance analysis, profiling, and benchmarking to identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain a high standard of code quality and software design.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Rust and networking technologies to leverage new techniques for system improvements.

Embark on an exciting journey as a Rust Engineer at Massive, where you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our low-level feed handlers. The fundamental layer that consumes, captures, and analyzes exchange data feeds. This layer is full of challenges requiring 100g networking, FPGAs, and petabytes of storage. We are modernizing Wall St and this project is in the belly of the beast. It requires networking, computing, and storage to work in harmony.

As a key member of this small elite team, you will help in making crucial decisions on the architecture and design of this critical layer. Your expertise in Rust will be central to creating an efficient, stable and scalable solution for these challenges.
