Job summary

Axiom is seeking a distributed systems engineer to join a startup using zero-knowledge proofs to scale smart contract applications. You will build Rust-based rollup nodes and sequencers to deliver zero-knowledge proof based products on-chain, focusing on secure, scalable systems and pragmatic design choices.

You should be fluent in Rust or C++, with cloud deployment experience using Docker, Terraform and Kubernetes; experience with large production codebases and a security mindset; strong

Qualifications

Fluent in Rust, C++, or a similarly performant backend language.
Experience deploying and monitoring high uptime applications to production in the cloud using orchestration and containerization (Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes).
Experience working within a large production codebase.
Detail oriented with a security mindset.
Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset.
Bias towards action and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Build Rust-based rollup nodes and sequencers to deliver zk-based products on-chain.
Design secure and efficient systems and make design choices to enable rapid development without sacrificing security.
Design and implement blockchain protocols with pragmatic decisions to empower a small team.
