Job summary

Eventual is hiring a Software Engineer on the Data Systems team to build storage and a high-throughput data engine over video, lidar, and telemetry data for frontier robotics and Physical AI labs. You will work on real-time indexing, distributed storage/compute, and dataloading at line-rate to GPUs for model training and inference.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building resilient, high-throughput distributed systems or database engines.
• Deep understanding of engine internals like vectorized execution, query planning, or zero-copy networking.
• Experience with cloud storage and data pipelines (AWS S3) is a plus.
• Familiarity with GPU streaming or video processing frameworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build storage and a high-throughput data engine over petabytes of video, lidar and telemetry data.
• Develop real-time indexing and distributed storage/compute powering model training and inference.
• Deliver line-rate data loading to GPUs and optimize data flows for frontier robotics applications.
