AMBSIMS & Associates Corp in New York, NY is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to build performance-sensitive Rust backend systems for real-time financial workflows. The role requires 2–4 years of backend experience and strong async programming skills, with a preference for fintech or crypto exposure.

On-site five days per week with competitive equity. You will design and maintain production services, work across databases, and own components end-to-end, collaborating in a fast-moving startup

Competenze

• 2–4 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Hands-on production Rust experience with asynchronous programming.
• Experience building real-time, high-throughput backend services.
• Experience with trading/fintech or financial markets.
• Proficiency with multiple database types and REST/WebSocket APIs.

Mansioni

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain production backend services in Rust.
• Develop asynchronous and concurrent systems using Tokio or comparable Rust-based technologies.
• Build reliable services for real-time, high-throughput, and low-latency workloads.
• Process live data streams and support time-sensitive financial workflows.
• Develop and maintain REST and WebSocket APIs.
• Work with relational, time-series, and key-value databases.
• Investigate performance bottlenecks and improve latency, throughput, and reliability.
• Collaborate with teammates to make technical decisions and deliver production improvements.
• Take hands-on responsibility for debugging, testing, and maintaining systems.
