Job summary

The Primavera Foundation in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Rural Resource Specialist to assist veterans and families in securing stable housing through rapid rehousing and supportive services. You will conduct intake, develop housing service plans, coordinate with partners, and maintain accurate records while upholding confidentiality and grant requirements.

This role requires a social services background, strong interview and communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of issues facing veterans and people who are low income/homeless, including housing, employment, mental and physical health.
• Strong interviewing and assessment skills.
• Ability to work effectively with program participants, the public, staff and volunteers.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Proficiency with office computer systems and software, including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and a web-based database.
• Ability to function with minimal supervision.
• Ability to accurately track information and services in HMIS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake/eligibility meetings and determine eligibility based on need and program requirements.
• Develop a housing service plan with participants and enter information in the program database.
• Assist participants in identifying, applying for, and moving into permanent housing.
• Coordinate with the Co-Director to verify service determinations and communicate approvals and follow-up.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in data entry and file audits.
• Complete monthly reports on participant status and participate in trainings.
