Position

Orthopedic Surgeon Opportunities – Board-Certified or Board-Eligible surgeons sought to join our network of hospitals and outpatient facilities throughout the St. Louis region. This is an employed position within BJC Medical Group or affiliated partner groups with access to a large, established referral network and flexible practice settings across community hospitals and academic centers.

Position Overview

BJC HealthCare is seeking motivated orthopedic surgeons across a variety of subspecialties, including but not limited to:

• General Orthopedics
• Joint Replacement
• Sports Medicine

Physicians will practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology, and strong clinical support teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care by providing or arranging inpatient hospital care for patients, including hospital rounds or coordinating with hospitalists or other physicians to cover hospitalized patients, in line with Medical Staff requirements.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and care team members to ensure high-quality patient care at designated clinic locations and any other BJC clinical outreach sites.
• Perform and document medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital bylaws.
• Provide or arrange for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in accordance with BJC policies and applicable legal and professional standards.
• Collaborate and teach advanced practice providers and care team members involved in patient care.
• This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work with a high level of alertness is an essential function.
