You will assess conditions, diagnose, plan interventions, and coordinate care, while leveraging established protocols and electronic health records.

The role emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and managing acute/chronic illnesses within a rural health setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Iowa.
• BLS certification and DEA registration are required.
• IA controlled substance registration and mandatory reporter training.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, secondary, and tertiary health care to individuals and groups.
• Assess, plan, prescribe, implement, and evaluate patient care using established protocols.
• Perform physical examinations, review medical history, and assess patient needs.
• Access and manage patient electronic health records and test results.
• Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic tests; perform procedures as needed.
• Prescribe interventions and evaluate care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Perform emergency treatment and other duties as assigned.
