Job summary

Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement in Bloomington, IN is seeking an editorial intern to craft engaging articles spotlighting rural Indiana and IU collaboration with regional communities. You will research projects, conduct interviews, write compelling narratives, and edit content to meet high-quality standards.

This in-person, part-time role offers a $15.00 per hour wage, 10–15 hours weekly, and opportunities to build a writing portfolio and storytelling skills within IU’s dynamic

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by IU upon hire.
• Strong writing and communication skills; capable of conducting interviews and synthesizing information.
• Ability to manage multiple projects; highly detailed and self-motivated.
• CMS familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Researches and gathers information about featured projects, students, and initiatives through interviews and provided materials.
• Writes compelling articles highlighting successes, personal stories, and impactful projects.
• Collaborates with team to ensure content aligns with organizational tone and goals.
• Edits and proofreads articles to meet high-quality standards.
• Adheres to deadlines and maintain a consistent workflow.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
