Job summary

The Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement is seeking an editorial intern to craft project and student spotlight articles that showcase rural Indiana and IU's collaborations with regional communities. This in-person, part‑time role is based at IU in Bloomington and emphasizes storytelling and content creation.

You will research projects through interviews, write compelling articles, edit for quality, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured by IU upon hire.
• Strong written and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Researches and gathers information about featured projects, students, and initiatives through interviews and provided materials.
• Writes compelling articles that highlight successes, personal stories, and impactful projects.
• Collaborates with team members to ensure content aligns with organizational tone and goals.
• Edits and proofreads articles to meet high-quality standards.
• Adheres to deadlines and maintains a consistent workflow.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
