Job summary

AntFarm Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Housing Services Specialist to connect youth and adults in rural Clackamas County with housing services and resources.

This role centers on building relationships, raising awareness of support, and guiding families toward housing stability through compassionate case management. You will lead outreach efforts, navigate housing options including emergency assistance and transitional housing, assess needs, develop service plans, and keep detailed records.

Qualifications

  • Experience in community outreach, working with youth and adults, housing assistance, or case management, preferably in rural or underserved areas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for uplifting and supporting others.
  • Knowledge of housing resources and services available in Clackamas County.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a caring team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout rural Clackamas County

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies that meet the unique housing needs of youth and adults.
  • Engage with communities through events, presentations, and one-on-one conversations to share valuable housing resources.
  • Provide warm and personalized support to youth and adults as they explore housing services, including emergency assistance, transitional housing, and long-term solutions.
  • Offer guidance in a caring and approachable way, ensuring individuals feel empowered to access the resources that best fit their needs.
  • Conduct thoughtful assessments to understand the specific needs of each person and family.
  • Collaborate with individuals to develop supportive service plans that lead to stable housing.
  • Maintain regular check-ins to offer encouragement and ensure continued access to necessary resources and services.
  • Keep accurate and timely documentation of case notes while maintaining a supportive approach.
  • Work closely with local organizations, schools, and service providers to create a strong and supportive network.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with community partners to enhance access to housing resources.
  • Be a compassionate advocate for youth and adults, ensuring their needs and voices are heard in discussions with local businesses and service providers.
  • Help remove barriers to services by offering guidance and support in a way that empowers individuals to express their needs.
  • Track and evaluate outreach efforts by gathering data on engagement and service utilization.
  • Prepare reports that highlight program successes, identify areas for growth, and support continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of open, honest, and supportive communication with team members and community partners.
  • Keep supervisors informed about schedules, projects, and emerging needs that may impact outreach efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records in the SharePoint Library and Case Notes to ensure effective participant tracking.
  • Work closely with the team to align efforts with AntFarm’s mission, goals, and strategic plan.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where staff, community members, and program participants feel valued and supported.
