Job summary

The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial reporting at Cibola General Hospital in Grants, NM, including payroll and Accounts Payable, working closely with the CFO to ensure accurate reporting and compliance for a rural hospital.

Responsibilities cover monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, MultiView and Paylocity system leadership, internal controls, budgeting/forecasting, and mentoring a small finance team with emphasis on Medicare and rural health cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
• CPA or HFMA certification strongly preferred.
• 5-7 years progressive accounting experience, 3+ years healthcare.
• Experience with hospital audits or cost reports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain general ledger and perform reconciliations.
• Lead MultiView and Paylocity system usage and training.
• Ensure internal controls and GAAP/GASB/FASB compliance.
• Assist CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide team mentorship and cross-training in finance.
• Support Medicare Cost Reports and cost reporting filings.
