Job summary

Fairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Coordinator to lead the Illinois Rural Health Transformation Program planning activities, manage grant-related tasks, and coordinate diverse stakeholders to advance rural health initiatives.

The role emphasizes project management excellence, schedule maintenance, and collaboration with hospital leadership, community partners, and consultants to deliver measurable transformation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field and two years of coordinating complex initiatives.
• Strong coordination, grant management, and stakeholder engagement experience preferred.
• Experience with CHNA, grant reporting, and strategic planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager and primary operational lead for the Illinois Rural Health Transformation Program Planning Grant.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, action-item logs, and documentation to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, meetings, and contractor engagements.
• Support grant compliance, reporting, and completion of the Transformation Plan.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Project Management, Nonprofit Management, or a closely related field

Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, Nonprofit Management, or related field; PMP/CAPM or grant management certification
