Job summary

SVSU Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan seeks a Project Coordinator to administer two Rural Health Transformation programs within the Social Work & Youth Services department. The role is full-time, grant-funded through Sept 30, 2027, with continuation dependent on funding.

The position focuses on recruiting participants, managing stipends, tracking progress, and coordinating with campus partners and community employers to support rural behavioral health workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, public health, or a related field.
• Experience in program coordination, student services, or grant administration.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and survey tools.
• Ability to manage concurrent deadlines, maintain accurate records, and protect confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, application review, selection, and onboarding of participants per eligibility and criteria.
• Administer program awards and stipends with Financial Aid; manage agreements and attestations.
• Serve as primary operational contact for participants and link with rural healthcare and behavioral health employers.
• Monitor progress, licensure, employment outcomes, and service commitments; maintain records and confidentiality.
• Collect and organize evaluation data, administer surveys, and assist with MDHHS progress and financial reporting.
• Assist the Project Director with budget monitoring, grant compliance, and transition of tracking duties at contract close.
• Hire, schedule, supervise, and review undergraduate and graduate student employees.
