Job summary

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Human Services Program Consultant I to coordinate behavioral health initiatives under the Rural Health Transformation Program. You will implement, monitor, and report on grant activities with internal teams and external partners.

Ideal candidates have advanced education in a related field and strong project management, analytics, and stakeholder engagement skills for program improvement and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program and two years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a discipline relative to the program area and four years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience per policy.
• Working knowledge of mental health service systems preferred.
• Strong project management, planning and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide program consultation and implementation coordination for behavioral health initiatives.
• Coordinate implementation activities with partners and monitor progress toward deliverables.
• Develop program reports, documentation, and improve processes to meet grant requirements.
• Translate program requirements into actionable processes and reporting structures.
