Job summary

Family Health Centers, Inc. seeks a Chief Medical Officer (MD/DO) to lead clinical excellence in a rural FQHC setting. You will guide the clinical team, expand high‑quality care, and serve as the medical heart of the community.

You will oversee clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and health equity while maintaining a connection to patient care through a part‑time panel. This role demands a deep commitment to rural health and equity.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted MD or DO license (or eligible for licensure).
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical setting (FQHC, CHC, or rural health clinic experience is a major plus).
• A deep heart for community health, equity, and rural medicine.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Oversight: Serve as the executive voice for clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and health equity.
• Balanced Practice: Combine high-level executive strategy with a part-time clinical panel to stay connected to patient care.
• Community Anchor: Build strong partnerships with regional hospitals, public health entities, and local leadership to improve social determinants of health.
