Job summary

Muskegon Family Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Michigan, seeks a visionary Chief Medical Officer to lead clinical operations and uphold HRSA, FTCA, CARF, and other regulatory standards. The CMO will oversee medical services, maintain high-quality, patient-centered care, and guide compliance across the organization to advance health equity.

The role involves supervising physicians and mid-level Providers, participating in strategic planning, and driving quality improvement

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) with 10 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations and medical services for the organization.
• Ensure compliance with HRSA, FTCA, CARF, OSHA, CLIA, MDHHS, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with Compliance Officer to mitigate risk and ensure corrective actions.
• Lead PCMH transformation and ensure team-based patient-centered care.
• Coordinate with other managers to achieve integrated health care delivery.
• Recruit physicians in coordination with the CEO and oversee performance appraisals.
• Develop and implement quality improvement plans for clinical services.
• Respond to patient complaints and provide day-to-day supervision of medical staff.
• Attend board meetings and provide reports to CEO and Board.

Education

M.D. or D.O. with 10 years related experience

Board Certification

Michigan Physician License

Controlled Substance License

DEA Certification

BLS Certification
