JOB SUMMARY: Rural Health Agent is a member of the Extension staff of Clemson University. The agent is responsible for working cooperatively with other county and state staff to plan, implement, maintain and evaluate Extension education programs for adult and/or youth clientele within designated coverage area. Position will cover Orangeburg and Colleton Counties. Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Fiscal responsibilities for the department\'s budget, including but not limited to, financial planning and managing fund allocation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Use taste or smell to detect or determine particular flavors or odors; Extends hands or arms in any direction; Move, transport, raise or lower 50 lbs or more; Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself; Recognize or inspect visually; Position self to accomplish task (i.e. stoop, kneel, crawl); Stand for Prolonged Period; Walk or move about; Use hands or feet to operate or handle machinery, equipment, etc.; Ascend or descend (i.e. stairs, ladder).
WORKING CONDITIONS: Overnight travel, Noise, Wet and/or humid, Exposure to heat or cold, Exposure to dust/fumes.
WORK SCHEDULE: Standard Hours: 37.5
COMPENSATION INFORMATION: Expected Salary Range: $39,765.00 - $53,684.00. Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate\'s previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson\'s compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL: Essential Support - In the event of an emergency closure or modified operations, this position is necessary to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
