VCU Health is seeking a Program Director for the CMH Rural Family Medicine Residency. The role combines clinical practice with educational leadership to ensure a top-tier residency program and compliance with accrediting bodies.

The candidate will supervise faculty, oversee curriculum, and collaborate with the Associate Program Director and GME Council to advance rural health education and patient care in South Hill, VA.

Formación

• Licensed to practice medicine in Virginia and board-certified in Family Medicine.
• Residency in Family Medicine completed and faculty experience in residency training.
• Experience caring for underserved populations and neonatal care readiness.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direction and leadership to obtain/maintain residency accreditation.
• Oversee recruitment, curriculum, assessment, and educational administration.
• Balance clinical duties with educational leadership and program development.
• Assess compliance with accrediting bodies and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with department leadership and GME council on program improvements.

Educación

Licensed to practice medicine in Virginia

ABFM board certified

Completed an accredited Family Medicine residency

Five+ years of Family Medicine practice

Three to five years as faculty in Family Medicine residency

Experience serving underserved populations

Willing to participate in neonatal resuscitation and newborn care

Commitment to diversity and professionalism in education
