Job summary

Family Circle of Care is seeking an FM/IM physician to provide full-scope primary and preventive care at our rural health clinic in Athens, Texas. You will serve patients across the lifespan, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes and continuity of care.

The role emphasizes evidence-based medicine, community health focus, and compassionate care in an underserved setting. Licensing and board status, along with BLS, are required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States
• Experience in both family medicine and internal medicine
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive family medicine care including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses
• Collaborate with nurses, midwives, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and reproductive health options
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Participate in continuing medical education to stay current with best practices
