Job summary

Maniilaq Association in Noatak, Alaska is seeking an Employment & Training Caseworker I/II/III to determine eligibility and deliver direct client services, including continuous case management and assisting with applications for all available services.

The role supports participants to achieve self-sufficiency, educational opportunities, and employment outcomes; reports to the Workforce Development Director, and requires familiarity with the 477 plan and TAS reporting, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months to 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with the Northwest Arctic Borough Region and its culture.
• Ability to travel within and out of the region; strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process 477 applications and refer to appropriate programs per the 477 plan.
• Audit caseload quarterly to ensure follow-ups, enrollments, and required documents.
• Refer participants to activities per their ISP and monitor case management.
• Review, document and determine payments; maintain financial records for audits.
• Organize job fairs, trainings, and events to promote 477 programs.
• Stay compliant with local, state and federal regulations and grant requirements.
