Job summary

UNC Health Chatham Emergency Department in Siler City, NC, is seeking a Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Physician to join a collegial ED team. The role supports rural primary and emergency care with access to CT/ultrasound and a strong APP team; teaching and academic activities are encouraged.

The position offers a mix of day, evening, and overnight shifts, with full-time workload and UNC Health benefits. Board eligibility/certification and ACLS/PALS/ATLS are required or current.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required; board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications required or current.
• Commitment to teaching and academic activities is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency or family medicine care in a rural ED setting.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers and specialists; participate in academic activities.
• Contribute to patient care, teaching, and system quality improvement.
