Job summary

Physicians will serve in a 10-bed emergency department with an average volume of 30 patients per day. Candidates should hold an MD or DO, be eligible for medical licensure, and have ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.

Rural Community Hospital | Full-Time / Part-Time Opportunities

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Physician to join our team at a rural, community-focused hospital serving a population of approximately 19,000.

About the Emergency Department

• 10-bed Emergency Department
• Average volume: ~30 patients per 24 hours
• Single-provider coverage per shift
• 24/7 RN staffing
• Broad scope of practice with strong nursing support

Hospital & Community

• 71‑bed rural hospital
• Inpatient behavioral health unit (ages 18+)
• Obstetric services on-site (deliveries performed locally; next closest facility >60 miles)
• Nearest tertiary care center is over 60 miles away
• Ideal setting for physicians who value autonomy, variety, and meaningful community impact

Clinical Support & Resources

• On-call specialty coverage (not 24/7) including:
  • Orthopedics
  • General Surgery
  • Advanced Imaging
• No in-house cardiology or pulmonology
• Strong transfer relationships for higher levels of care
