Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a qualified Doula to support birthing families in Morgan County, Utah. This part-time role provides prenatal, labor, and postpartum support with home visits and occasional in-clinic visits.

The Doula will offer physical and emotional guidance, help develop birth plans, attend prenatal visits, stay with the mother during active labor, and conduct postpartum follow-up visits, while coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• DONA International, ICEA Birth Doula Certification within one year of employment.
• Previous childbirth experience is required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and current insurance.
• Availability to support birthing parents day, night, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to travel throughout the rural program for home visits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Attend prenatal meetings (up to 2) and help develop birth preferences and birthing plans.
• Remain with the mother during active labor and provide physical and emotional support.
• Provide up to 2 postpartum visits and assist with baby care after discharge.
• Conduct home visits and assist with lactation, feeding needs, or meal preparation as needed.
• Stay current on childbirth practices and participate in ongoing education.
