Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, Colorado is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role reports to the ED Director and provides professional, compassionate care in a Level IV ED with a wide variety of cases.

You will triage, document histories, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and staff. Colorado RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC compliance within required timelines are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Active Colorado RN license.
• AHA BLS within 3 months of employment and maintained.
• ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC certifications within 6 months of employment and maintained.
• One year ED nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Record histories, perform tests, administer medications, and develop care plans with the team.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures, operate and monitor equipment.
• Observe progress and document in the medical record; update physicians as needed.
• Support health maintenance and illness management; perform additional assigned tasks.
