Pharmacy1st Health in Mesick, MI is seeking a reliable Medical Assistant to support daily clinic operations. You will work with the Family Nurse Practitioner and care team to guide patients from intake to follow-up, performing essential clinical tasks in a rural setting.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate EMR documentation, safe phlebotomy and vital sign collection, and collaboration with front desk staff.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or outpatient setting preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
• Comfortable working in a rural healthcare setting with autonomy.

Mansioni

• Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Assist the provider during examinations and procedures.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and vaccines per state guidelines and clinic protocols.
• Manage patient flow, room turnover, and ensure exam rooms are stocked and ready.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and patient communications.
• Support front desk operations including scheduling and check-in/check-out.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and infection control.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Safely perform essential functions including prolonged standing and lifting up to 25 pounds.
